Formerly known as Institut Musik Daya Indonesia was founded by Prof. Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah in February 2001.

DAYA is the first private Performing Arts Academy in Indonesia, which offers academic and non-academic courses with comprehensive German Music Curriculum designed by Prof. Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah for Jazz & Rockschulen Freiburg in 1990 and accredited by German Federal Government, when Prof. Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah was the Artistic Director of Jazz & Rockschulen Freiburg Germany.

DAYA is associated with Indonesia Council for The Performing Arts & Germany Alumni Association/Perhimpunan Alumni Jerman (PAJ).

Improving the appreciation of Culture & Arts through formal Performance Art & Education in Indonesia.

Provide excellent Performing Arts Education in Indonesia to improve the quality of Indonesia human resources in the field of Performing Arts.

Considered as one of the best talents the world currently possesses, Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah has spent a great deal of her life abroad (36 years), particularly in Japan, Thailand, Germany and Switzerland, to embark on the Music world as an Artist with several record albums, Pianist, Vocalist, Arranger, Composer, Conductor, Professor and Music educator.

With a long list of unmatched skills, she returned to Indonesia in early 2000 to found Institut Musik Daya Indonesia, which is now Daya Indonesia Performing Arts Academy.
